Mini Session FAQ's
What’s the difference between a mini session and a full session?
Mini sessions are shorter, scheduled back-to-back, and held at a set location with limited flexibility. They’re great for quick updates, holiday cards, or capturing a milestone. Full sessions allow for more time, outfit changes, location choices, and a larger gallery of images.
How many people can be included in a session?
Each session includes up to four people . Additional people or pets can be added for $25 each. These sessions are perfect for couples, families, individuals and yes, pets absolutely count as a “person” since they usually get their own little spotlight too!
Will you help with posing?
Absolutely! You don’t need to worry about what to do. I’ll guide you through natural poses and prompts to capture real connection and emotion.
Can I bring outfit changes?
Since mini sessions are short, there isn’t enough time for outfit changes. Come dressed in the outfit you feel best in (and coordinate as a group if it’s a family session).
Do I get to choose the location?
Mini sessions are held at a pre-selected location so everything runs smoothly and on schedule. If you’d like more flexibility with timing and location, a full session might be a better fit.
When will I get my photos?
Mini sessions have a quick 1-week turnaround. You’ll receive your gallery link via the email you provided at booking. If it hasn’t shown up after a week, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
What if I’m late to my session?
Mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, which means there isn’t much wiggle room. If you arrive late, that time will be deducted from your session. For example, arriving 10 minutes late to a 20-minute session leaves only 10 minutes of shooting time. If you miss your time slot completely, your session fee is non-refundable and the full balance is still due.
What if I need to cancel?
I completely understand that life happens. If you need to cancel more than 3 weeks before your session, there’s no additional charge (your retainer remains non-refundable). If you cancel within 1 week of your session, the full balance will still be due since that time has been reserved just for you.
What if it rains on my session date?
In the rare event that weather gets in the way, we’ll simply reschedule or apply your retainer toward a future session. I never want you to miss out on your photos — we’ll make it happen!
