I love when I get referrals from wedding vendors, Monica from Monica Garcia Makeup Artistry shared my info with Kristina and it wasn’t long before I was booked to shoot Kristina and Sean’s engagement and wedding photos. Kristina is originally from Indiana and Sean is from New Zealand and has the cool accent. They both originally met online, but then in person when Sean came to the US on a business trip. Both being from out of town, the first time I met them was on the day of their engagement session. For their engagement photos they picked two locations, the first being the beautiful Fairmont Grand Del Mar Hotel with its gorgeous property and lovely landscape. Here we incorporated the architecture, the fountain and doorway for some cool shots. Then we headed off to Torrey Pines State Beach and captured some beautiful shots and watched an amazing sunset. They both were so sweet and fun to work with and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Twin Oaks House and Garden Estate in San Marcos.

Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala is the first of the 21 missions and known as the Mother of the Missions. It was founded on July 16, 1769 by Blessed Junipero Serra and it was designated as a Minor Basilica in 1976 by Pope Paul VI. The Mission today is an active Catholic Parish in the Diocese of San Diego, located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego. It’s beautiful inside and out with all of its unique details and the perfect location for Carrie and Steve’s special day. The both of them met at a Jack in the Box drive thru window after walking home with a group of friends one night. Maybe Jack in the Box can offer a “match maker” on their menu. While not planning a wedding they love Padres baseball and traveling together.

The Rancho Bernardo Inn displays a rustic, picturesque setting and has some great landscaping throughout the property for beautiful photo opportunities.  I met Tania back in 2008 at her sister’s wedding where she was a bridesmaid.  Years later, Tania and Tony were introduced by her sister and brother in law, Daniella and Ricardo.  At first they were only friends, but eventually Tony got the courage to ask Tania to be his girlfriend.  Unfortunately, Tania rejected him!  However it didn’t take long for Tania to realize how great of a man Tony is, and she agreed to be his girlfriend.  Their ceremony was held at the Promenade which has beautiful views of the golf course and makes a great backdrop with the trees.  The reception took place in the Bernardo ball room with its cool wood beam ceiling and some amazing wedding details.  The colors and the up lighting made the ballroom look amazing! Here are their engagement photos at the Grand Del Mar

Wonderful pictures especially the black and whites ones.

South Coast Winery is probably the largest with 38 acres and the most popular winery in Temecula. They host several weddings ceremonies and events per year and have some really nice options as far as ceremony sites and reception rooms and can accommodate guests from 40 to 500. They also offer bridal party spa days, wonderful rehearsal dinner celebrations and beautiful private villa accommodations for your out of town friends and family.

The first time I met Cambria and Jeff is when they came to the studio to consider my services. I instantly noticed the love they had for each other and I was so excited when they ask me to photograph their wedding. Cambria and Jeff were introduced by a mutual friend and had a chance to talk before meeting in person and basically fell in love even before their first date together. Wine tasting was a hobby they both started together and South Coast was their first and favorite winery to attend,  so it made sense to use this venue for their special day. All the details were hand made and/or designed by the bride and groom with natural colors of mossy “clover” green, tan, ivory, white and brown, giving it a earthy elegant feel. Before the ceremony they did a personal vow exchange without seeing each other and they were able to read the kind words they had written to each other.

Old Poway park is a unique little gem hidden in the little town of Poway. I’ve heard its been a hot spot for many other photographers in the area. So this was the first time I used it for engagement photos and found all kinds of cool spots for photos. Macall & Marc are such a fun couple with their silliness. We had such a great time with lots of laughs while capturing some cool photos.
