I was fortunate to attend and photograph my first “Engagement Puja” with Samir and Ashvini. As a photographer I was elated to photograph such vibrant colors and intricate ceremonies. It was a fascinating and gorgeous event to attend. Aside from the beautiful surroundings, this event comes with significant cultural meaning. Ashvini was able to share some insight into Hindu term “Puja” she explained the engagement ceremony was, “performed to unite families and ensure that all obstacles were removed before the wedding.” It was heartwarming to see both families honored and involved in the ceremony.
